| New actor chosen for role of Kurt Wallander |

TV4 of Sweden has announced that actor Krister Henriksson will assume the role of Kurt Wallander for the 13 upcoming films and TV movies. These are the same films which were reported by the German Wallander-Web.de web site last year (see our previous news item). It has been confirmed that with the exception of the Linda Wallander film Before the Frost, each of the films will be new works from Henning Mankell. Krister Henriksson is known for his work on the Inspector Winter series of TV films and the film Trolösa (Faithless) from Liv Ulman/Ingmar Bergman.
