Henning Mankell reading and film screening in NYC on Feb 3rd

Henning Mankell © Ulla MontanOn February 3rd, the day after appearing at Symphony Space for an open discussion and book signing, Henning Mankell will read from Before the Frost as well as screen the film version of that novel at New York's Scandinavia House.

Note: The New Press is releasing the English translation of Before the Frost to the Flag US on February 28th, 2005. It is already available to readers in Flag Canada, the Flag UK and Flag Australia from Random House and The New Press.

  Before the Frost: Reading and Film Screening with Henning Mankell
Thursday, February 3, 8:00 p.m.

Prize-winning Swedish author Henning Mankell will read from his best-selling novel Before the Frost (Innan Frosten), which will be released in English translation this winter. The reading will be followed by the U.S. premiere of the film based on Before the Frost as well as a question and answer session and book signing with Mr. Mankell.

Co-hosted with the Consulate General of Sweden in New York and The New Press.

Tickets: $10 ($8 ASF members)
