Firewall
Originally published in Swedish as Brandvägg in 1998 and later translated into German as Die Brandmauer.

Synopsis
In Firewall, Wallander is faced with the challenge of tracking criminals whose crimes are committed in the digital world of computers and the Internet - a world in which Wallander feels out of place.

A body is found at an ATM the apparent victim of heart attack. Then two teenage girls are arrested for the brutal murder of a cab driver. The girls confess to the crime showing no remorse whatsoever. Two open and shut cases. At first these two incidents seem to have nothing in common, but as Wallander delves deeper into the mystery of why the girls murdered the cab driver he begins to unravel a plot much more involved complicated than he initially suspected. The two cases become one and lead to conspiracy that stretches to encompass a world larger than the borders of Sweden.

A man stops at an ATM & suddenly falls dead to the ground. A blackout cuts power to a large swath of southern Sweden. When a service man arrives at the malfunctioning power substation, he makes a grisly discovery. Inspector Kurt Wallander begins to sense a connection between all of these events.

Film Information
Filming started for "Brandvägg" in November 2005. It debuted on Swedish television in 2006 and is now available on DVD.

The BBC has also created a film based on One Step Behind starring Kenneth Branagh and released in 2008 in the UK.
