| Visiting Sweden |
| Ystad's Tourist Bureau |
|
The Ystad Tourist Bureau's official web site has plenty great
info in English, Swedish, German and Polish for people planning
trips to Ystad. They also feature a section of their site dedicated
to
Henning Mankell and Kurt Wallander.
They have an official Wallander tour called
In the footsteps of Inspector Wallander:
| |
You can take the guided In Wallander's
footsteps tour on the veteran fire engine with the volunteer
firemen every Tuesday and Thursday from 5/7-11/8. There
are tours from 18.00-20.30. Tickets must be booked in advance
at Ystad Tourist Office, tel +46 411 577681. |

And be sure to take a look at their web cams set up around the
city.

| Vacation snaps from Tschaka.de |

I stumbled across someone's
online photo album from what looks like a vacation in Sweden.
There are some nice pictures of Ystad's old town and coastline.
Other places included are areas in and around the cities of Trelleborg,
Kåseberga, Kristianstad, Kalmar, Nyköping and Stockholm. There are
plenty of shots of Swedish castles. I hope you like these as much
as I did.

| Vacation snaps from Matthias
Schlecker |
|
Reader Matthias Schlecker from Germany has posted
pictures from his visit to Ystad on his web site. Also, be sure
to view
photographs of the actual Ystad police headquarters from Matthias
Horn on the web site of Zsolnay, the German-language publisher
for Mr Mankell. Lastly, the web site
wallander-web.de
features a similar series of photographs of Ystad.
